Dear Carrol,John and Chris;
There is nothing we can say to you all at this time except we have some very great memories of these past years of both your Dad and Mom.
Life is so short and we should never wait to late to be in touch with each other.
We love your family and we will be here for you if we can ever help in any way.
Barbara is complete now she has Johnwith her in heaven.
Love you all;
The Jacksons

John was my brother, in the fullest sense of the word, and I will miss his presence in my life mightily. I offer the prayer I gave when Barbara left us
We seem to give him back to you, dear Lord, whom you gave to us. Yet as you did not lose him in the giving, so also we have not lost him by his return, for what you give you do not take away. And all that is yours, is ours, if we are but yours. For llife is eternal, and love is immortal, and death is only a horizon - and a horizon is nothing but the limit of our sight. Then lift us up, O Lord, that we may see further; cleanse our eyes that we may see more clearly; draw us closer to you, that we may know ourselves nearer to our beloveds who are with you. And while your Son prepares a place for us, we pray, O Lord, that you will prepare us for that heavenly place, that where they are - and John is - we too may be, through the same Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen

After graduating with a degree in physics, John gave me my first job. i became sort of adopted family with John and Barbara and Johnny,Carol, and Christine. I remember John as a great teacher and scholar. Barbara had a great dry humor and a sharp mind. I am very sad to lose them in this life. I moved to Dallas in 1960 but kept in touch somehow through the years. I have always remembered John and Barbara as my best friends of an earlier time. Praise God for all of our salvation through Jesus Christ our Lord. We will all meet again.
In Love and rememberance, George Thiess

Sincere Condolences |

Let me offer sincere condolences to family members as an old comrade of the “P. Bascomb” brigade. Although I hadn’t seen John for fifteen years or so, I had the privilege of working closely with him for nearly three decades. He was an exceptional individual and will be long remembered by those who knew him.
